A multi-college conference for students to learn about and discuss the National Academy of Engineering's Grand Challenges. The conference will help set the direction of future student collaboration on these Grand Challenges.

These challenges represent the critical issues facing the world today in areas of health, energy, learning, and sustainability . If you're interested in changing the world in any of these ways, and want to meet people who want the same, this conference is for you.

Who is coming to the conference?

Students will be attending from colleges of all kinds throughout New England, especially near Boston
The conference is co-hosted by Babson, Olin and Wellesley Colleges

When/where is the Grand Challenge Student Conference?

Tuesday, April 20th, 3:00- 9:30pm at Olin College
The conference follows a three-day weekend (Patriots Day is April 19th) and precedes the Boston Summit on the Educational Imperatives of the Grand Challenges (April 21st)

What's the cost for the conference?

The summit and student conference are free for students

Why should I come to the conference?

Addressing the Grand Challenges will require interdisciplinary collaboration: we need people with scientific, entrepreneurial, technical, and especially humanitarian perspectives, who are passionate about health, energy, learning, and sustainability.
